“I am a sound therapist based in Bristol. I deliver and facilitate sound baths in some incredible historic venues across the city, for example a magnificent former church called The Mount Without, for up to 70 people… And other venues such as the Clifton observatory, perched just above Bristol’s iconic suspension bridge. The work I do, both on an individual and group basis, focuses on helping people to go on an inner journey through sound and vibration that facilitates deep relaxation, experiencing meditative states and trauma release. I use a number of instruments from around the world including gongs from Germany, Nepal, and Italy. These are very complex and beautifully crafted creations. They are also very expensive.
Filipe has brought something quite unique to the space for sound therapists like myself. It is normally not accessible at all, certainly not affordable either, for someone to custom make an instrument of this caliber for you. Filipe has created something that fits my needs and has grown and developed as I have played it. People who have experienced its sound have often been full of awe and wonder. It is quite unique and different to any other gong I’ve played. Over the year that I have known Filipe (as a gong maker) his creations have evolved and his latest instruments bring new sonic possibilities to life. I’ve even recommended him to other sound therapists and they’ve also come away feeling quite amazed by the quality of the instruments he has made for them and the affordable comparative cost compared to other established worldwide gong makers.”— Former Customer
